Littlest Pet Shop Birthday Cake & Goodies!

Little Miss Lindsey turned 8 years old this afternoon!

Since her mom and I are friends, I offered to make Lindsey any kind of cake she wanted for her birthday, and as you can tell... she chose Littlest Pet Shop as her theme.

Her mother had decided against traditional "goodie bags" so I made 20 little kids 20 cupcakes and 20 cookies to take home with them!

I bought some 24 ounce cups and lids and used those as the to-go containers for the cupcakes.  Believe it or not, this is THE BEST WAY to take a cupcake to go.  There's a little lip in the bottom of the lid that keeps the cupcake from knocking around.

Yeah.... these didn't make it all the way home.  The kids ate them immediately.

Sophia's Farm Party!

Rebecca's daughter Sophia celebrated her 3rd birthday this afternoon with the funnest party ever!  As you can tell from the cake, the theme was FARM!!

There were pony rides and even a petting zoo!

Kids never tire of hay... Rebecca hid little prizes throughout and let the kiddos jump and play in the hay.

Happy 3rd birthday Sophia!

I hope it was a good one!

Off Road Jeep Cake

My friend's wife called me and asked us to make her husband's 30th birthday cake.  She didn't really know exactly what she wanted the cake to look like and told me I could make whatever I wanted.  Then she says "He REALLY likes his Jeep."

I had asked my partner to do a quick drawing of a "Jeep" cake and a few minutes later I called her and told her that I had an idea... why don't we make a mountain scene with a road running up the cake?  She said that was funny, that's exactly what she already drew!

Great minds think alike!

Poker Tournament Cake

We were asked to make any kind of cake we wanted for a Poker Tournament.  We decided on a house of cards cake.  I think it turned out well!

Everything on this cake is edible, including the cards!

Sports Cake

Kayla, who turned 17 today is all about high school sports! She's lettered in basketball, softball and soccer and wants to be an ESPN sports announcer when she gets out of college (she's going on a soccer scholarship!).

I had her stepmom send us a picture of her letterman's jacket... the logo on the jersey is an exact duplicate of the picture on the back of her jacket. Even the way her name appears on the back matches her jacket!

I learned from Kayla's stepmom, that they are both fans of our cakes!! (yay!)  Kayla really wanted one of our couture cakes for her birthday, but didn't think it was in the cards. She was SO surprised when her dad and stepmom surprised her with this!

Everything on this cake is edible, except for the ribbon at the base of the cakes. The flavor is chocolate with *white chocolate cream cheese* filling.. yum!

Caroline's Glamour Cake

I made this for my daughter's 6th birthday.  She was having a 'glamour' party, so what is  more fitting than a bottle of nail polish?

All the little girls loved it!  My favorite part was the filling.  It was a chocolate cake with cream cheese filling *that I tinted pink*!

Very Glamorous if I do say so myself!

Bengals Cake

This is a birthday cake for a 7 year old boy named Luke, who's a major Bengals fan!  His Dad ordered the cake and had only one request:  Ochocinco and Palmer jerseys somewhere on the cake.

Lucky for us, we had a secret trick up our sleeves... and everything on this cake is edible!

His son was SO cute when he saw it. He yelled "Dad, it's SO COOL!"

  That just made my day!

Bustier Cake

I made this cake for my friend Ron's birthday party.  I had a tough time trying to figure out what kind of cake to make.  A traditional two tier cake didn't really suit him.

This cake definitely says 'masculine' while staying fabulous at the same time!

This was surprisingly easy to make, and was a big hit at the party!

Lightening McQueen

Lightening McQueen is every 4 year old boy's life!  Jonathan's dad had a very specific design in mind when he ordered this cake.  He even sent us a picture!

Everything on this cake is edible, right down to the 'Rust-eze' logo on the hood of the car!

Loving the Tiki Gods!

School's Out!

This hamburger cake was made for an end of the school year bash.

Rebecca did an outstanding job!  I've seen several hamburger cakes and this one is by far the very best I've seen.

Everything looks so life-like!

R2D2 cake

I made this cake for my son's 7th birthday.  Like any 7 year old, he's ABSOLUTLEY obsessed with Star Wars.  So many little buttons this guy has on him!

I think the adults were more impressed than the kids... the kids wanted to know why he didn't light up, and how come he didn't talk!

I love all the detail on the surfboards!

Downtown Harley Davidson's Grand Opening

Downtown Harley Davidson in Renton, Wa had their Grand Opening party on April 25th of this year.

Rebecca and Kim spent hours hand cutting the flames and it literally took me all day to make this cake.  It was worth it though!  The radio stations from Seattle were there and kept announcing 'Girly Gatherings' on air!!

Carter's Farm Cake

This cake order came to us from one very frantic mother of a soon to be 1 year old.  She had ordered a cake from a local baker well in advance of her party.  The week of the party she could not get the baker to return her phone calls.  How's that for anxiety while planning your only child's 1st birthday party!

She was in desperate need of a favor, and to top it off, the party was in 3 days and on Memorial Day weekend!  Both my business partners were going out of town, and it was my husband's birthday.  Long story short, we were able to move things around and get this done for her!  Did I mention that we practically gave this cake away too?  The other baker had quoted her a grocery store price for the cake.  Yikes!!

Your first born only turns 1 once, right?

Good cake Karma...good cake Karma!

Bird Cake

We made this cake for a Southern Living party.  Rebecca has always wanted to make a "bird" cake and she jumped at the chance to make this one!

Underneath the pretty robin's egg blue color is a banana cake with Jack Daniels cream cheese frosting!

**Mmm  Mmm**

80's Night!

My girlfriends (and business partners!) made me this "awesome" cake for my birthday this year!  I had an 80's themed party at my house.  Everyone dressed up and we all had a fabulous evening!

My favorite thing about this cake is the stuff on top... there's a VHS movie cover from the Tom Cruise 'Cocktail' movie (which was the first R rated movie I ever snuck into at 12 years old!)  a 'Yo MTV Raps!" sign, a Tiffany tape cover and a Keds logo!  Totally 80s!

**LOVE IT!**

Roaring 20's Party

Rebecca made this cake for a murder mystery themed birthday party that she was throwing.  How fun is that?

This cake defines the 20's with the fish net stockings, pearls, feathers, and of course the flapper fringe!
